Poland

Poland is a country where the natural landscapes are perfectly balanced with its history. That mix means you will have an unforgettable and memorable experience.

Must-see cities include: Kraków, Warsaw, Wrocław and Gdańsk.

Thanks to their unique Polish character, rich history and architecture, these old towns are ranked among the most exciting places in Europe,

Wide expanses of unpopulated landscape and national parks provide wonderful opportunities for recreation both indoors and outdoors.

For relaxation and sports and with its clearly defined seasonal weather, Poland's position on the Baltic Sea to the north and mountains to the south, means that you can enjoy water sports in summer and winter sports in the winter.

It is so easy and inexpensive to get to and from Poland. Eurolines coach service network means you can visit from the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Czech Republic and Lithuania to over 80 destinations all over Poland.

Kraków (Cracow)

The former capital of Poland until 1795, Krakow is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Krakow's historic centre with its Old Town, Kazimerz and Wawel Castle was included as the first of its kind on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1978. There are many Renaissance, Baroque and Gothic buildings to visit - not to mention the fact that it's the perfect place to be entertained.

Warszawa (Warsaw)

The capital of Poland, Warsaw is now a major international tourist destination. Known as the "phoenix city" after being extensively damaged during World War II, Warsaw has achieved an extraordinary transformation thanks to the efforts of the whole nation. Currently experiencing the biggest economic boom in its history, Warsaw truly is a contemporary metropolis. There are many monuments to see, not to mention museums, galleries, shopping centres and entertainment venues.

Other destinations

Other exciting Polish towns and cities include:  Olsztyn - the capital of Masurian Lake District with its 2 000 lakes, Bialystok and its close proximity to Bialowieza National Park - a UNESCO Biosphere Preserve that is a "must see" attraction if you are visiting Poland.
