The former capital of Poland until 1795, Krakow is the second
largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Krakow's historic
centre with its Old Town, Kazimerz and Wawel Castle was included as
the first of its kind on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in
1978. There are many Renaissance, Baroque and Gothic buildings to
visit - not to mention the fact that it's the perfect place to be
entertained.
Warszawa (Warsaw)
The capital of Poland, Warsaw is now a major international
tourist destination. Known as the "phoenix city" after being
extensively damaged during World War II, Warsaw has achieved an
extraordinary transformation thanks to the efforts of the whole
nation. Currently experiencing the biggest economic boom in its
history, Warsaw truly is a contemporary metropolis. There are many
monuments to see, not to mention museums, galleries, shopping
centres and entertainment venues.
